About the teacher

Mayumi Carlsson Senoo

"Kizuna" in the company name KizunaGo! means "bond, tie" in Japanese. Learning a language helps people to have a better understanding of different cultures. It creates a new bond and friendship between people. That is my goal through my lessons.

I was born and raised in Japan and now live in Sweden. I have also lived and studied in the US and Mexico. Besides my native Japanese, I can speak English and Swedish.

I customize every lesson toward your goals so you can learn in the most enjoyable way that's best for you. We can study with the popular textbooks such as Marugoto and Genki, but of course we can study with anything of your choice. I use a variety of online resources and we can use manga or anime if you like. I can teach all levels.

My goal with my classes is to help you to be more confident when speaking, to have a better understanding of Japanese grammar and to deepen your knowledge of our culture.

You'll never have to worry about making mistakes in my class because I think one of the best ways to learn is by trying and learning from them.

• Bachelor's degree in Spanish at Kansai Gaidai University, Osaka in Japan
• Completed the 420-hour course for Teaching Japanese as a Foreign Language
• Passed the Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test
